Mount Hopeful Wind Farm on show to the supply chain.

Renewable energy company Neoen Australia will present their procurement opportunities for the Mount Hopeful Wind Farm at a luncheon in Gladstone next week.

Located approximately 50km Northwest of Gladstone with construction expected to begin in the first quarter of 2024, Connecting Industry director Kieran Moran said the project will require a peak workforce of 300 – 400 personnel.

“It was only last week Neoen Australia passed the 3GW mark for wind, solar and battery storage installed in Australia and the company expect to add another 350MW once the Mount Hopeful Wind Farm is operational,” Mr Moran said.

“The project site is located close to the energy demand centres of Rockhampton and Gladstone, giving the project a robust commercial outlook and access to a strong base of local subcontractors and established transportation corridors.

“The main contractor for the project is expected to be announced by November with available procurement works for the supply chain expected to be announced early next year.”

Neoen Australia owns and operates 14 large-scale renewable energy projects in Australia which include 4 wind farms, 7 solar farms and 3 battery storage facilities.

Neoen Australia Mount Hopeful Wind Farm project manager Stephen Briffa will present the company’s project at the Connecting Industry Luncheon on Wednesday, 13th of September.
